bury me in...

Sprinkles Cupcakes popped up in Georgetown, DC this spring in an area already home to at least two other cupcake bakeries, Georgetown Cupcake and Baked and Wired.

The line at G-town Cupcakes is almost always to daunting to even consider getting in, as it regularly wraps out of the store and down the whole block when the weather is decent.  I'm no fanatic when it comes to cupcakes, but I do love a really good one every once and a while.  There's just no way that I would stand in like for more than about 90 seconds to buy one.

So, during a recent afternoon jaunt in G-town, B and I stopped by Sprinkles.  And, boy, was it good.

yum!
We tried the PB Chip and the Carrot Cake (in honor of the approach of Easter).  I have to say that my favorite of the two was the PB, but they were bother pretty out of this world.

Have you tried Sprinkles yet?

  1. Oh I wish, I wish we had something like that. The only cupcakes we'll be eating are ones I make!

  3. Yum!

I told my husband that the strawberry cupcakes at Sprinkles taste like a happy childhood. He then proceeded to tease me mercilessly :)

  4. excellent pictures! i am hungry just from looking at them :)

i hate to say it but i think sprinkles out-bakes georgetown cupcake . . . their cupcakes are moister (is that a word?) and the frosting tastes richer.
