On Friday evening, Blake and I and a friend stopped in for some :: artisan :: ice cream at Christopher Elbow's new ice cream shop: Glace.
It is presented much like gelato, but is actually ice cream..... very very good ice cream. With uniquely interesting flavors. I ordered the Venezuelan Spiced Chocolate and the Salted Pretzel (both amazing), and also tried the Goat Cheese with Honey, which was delicious -- just the right amount of sweet and tart.
If you're in KC, it is a must on the ice cream stop. We'll be stopping by a few more times before we head out of town, I'm sure.
I almost forgot to mention! THE Christopher Elbow took our cash at the cash register when we were in! You know that someone truly believes in their product when they're a well-known choclatier and they are the actual ones in the store, selling their wares, watching people oooo and aaaah at their delicious creations. Pretty cool, I think.
Oh, I've been wanting to try this place! Been trying to convince my not-so-adventurous friends to go with me.
ReplyDeleteSounds amazing! Love the picture of your KitchenAid! I got a pink one for Christmas and I'm still coming up with new things to do with it!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I could live there.
